Things that don't workThere are a number of things that polynappers have tried that don't seem to work very well. These failures are listed here so that people can either:
- Try them themselves, to see if they get the same results
- Avoid making the same errors

In general, it doesn't work, although caffeine can make it temporarily possible if you're willing to pay later.
Napping without an alarm
Works for some, apparently, but not for others.
Multiple long watches
"Long watches" are watches where the time between naps is stretched from 4 hours to 5 or more. One person seems to have had trouble with these at one time, but they were also taking caffeine, so YMMV.
